Society of Work not only provides opportunity for networking and coworking, but also a perfect solution for a temporary office space for any company’s needs. Jennifer Hoff, founder and CEO of Skye Strategies, has been able to utilize Society of Work for a short period while a permanent office space for her company is under construction. Her company hit their peak growth while working with SoW back in 2016 and are now back in the Loveman’s space to continue their services they provide for Chattanooga.

Who are you and what is your organization?
Skye Strategies is a Chattanooga-based grant development and capacity building firm offering services for the nonprofit, education, healthcare, and social enterprise sectors. Our team is committed to and passionate about the institutions we represent and the individuals whose lives are improved through the firm’s individualized and collaborative approach to fund and program development. Our motivation hinges on our knowledge of the region’s most critical needs and service gaps and our ability to position agencies to develop and expand initiatives that change lives, create opportunity, and have lasting societal impact.
Give a brief history of its background and ties to Chattanooga.

How has/does Society of Work aid the trajectory of growth for your business?
SOW first provided us a place in the Edney to grow during 2016 after we graduated out of the Small Business Development Center. We then moved into to larger space on the Southside to accommodate our growing team. Currently, we’re ready to build out permanent space that will support our growth over the next three to five years and have landed at SOW, again, while we search for our perfect, new location. We’re happy to spend the next six months in the Loveman’s Building and encourage other small business owners to look into how SOW can accommodate their growth strategy.
What is the most rewarding part of the work that you all do?
We are happy to boast a diverse program portfolio, including public education, higher education, healthcare, youth development, disability services, early intervention, arts and culture, economic empowerment, workforce development, affordable housing, and community improvement. Being able to have broad impact across multiple service sectors and seeing how what we do allows our clients to elevate their impact for the community at large is greatly rewarding.
